Installing Windows 10 is the process of loading Windows 10 onto a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or virtual machine, either as the sole operating system on the computer or alongside another pre-existing operating system (such as Ubuntu or a different version of Windows). Typically, Windows 10 is installed by preloading an installation environment from a USB flash drive, optical media such as a DVD, or over a computer network.
